TheStaff Pad is partnering with a healthcare organization in Manchester, TN to hire an Insurance Clerk for their Billing Department. You will support insurance and patient account operations by ensuring accurate information, timely processing, and efficient coordination of insurance-related activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with medical claims and insurance processing preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage and payer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage patient accounts and billing adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate claims to payers using proper methodology.
• Address inquiries regarding claims and insurance coverage.
• Make adjustments, corrections, and changes to patient accounts.
• Rebill claims as required & process remittance advices.
• Respond to payer requests to support timely payments.
• Offer self-pay patients options, including financial applications and deposits.
• Work with minimal supervision following written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain familiarity with the organization and functions of all units.
• Demonstrate effective communication, empathy, and professionalism with patients.
• Establish measurable annual goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
