Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Category Manager to drive contract coverage for medical and non-medical supplies as well as services. You will influence decisions through data analytics and collaborate with clinicians, leaders, and vendors.

The role supports value-based sourcing under the SHC Value Based Selection framework and leads initiatives across the enterprise to balance quality, service, and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a work-related discipline/field.
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and contracts for products, groups and services with operational leaders.
• Provide category and spend informatics support for data-driven opportunities and process improvements.
• Act as day-to-day contact for GPOs and supplier representatives.
• Generate LOCs, contract activations and conduct GPO tier analysis and optimization.
• Develop RFIs, RFQs and RFPs, including bid specs, terms and conditions, bid evaluation and vendor selection.
• Ensure final contracts reflect negotiated terms and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Audit contracts for compliance with GPO agreements and vendor management policies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive cost reduction and value-based sourcing across the enterprise.
• Lead teams of analysts and data specialists supporting category management and spend analysis.

Education
