Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Business Analyst for an on-site Durham, NC project to cover a leave period and support healthcare initiatives. You will elicit and document requirements, collaborate with project teams, and contribute to business readiness activities, ensuring solution alignment and traceability.

The role requires facilitating large meetings, writing functional requirements and user stories, and partnering with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a related field, or 5+ years in lieu of degree.
• Healthcare, health plan, or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Ability to facilitate large meetings and write functional requirements and user stories.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and track requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems for intermediate business problems.
• Develop and elicit requirements for departmental and some corporate projects and prepare business and functional requirements.
• Communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with project teams to adhere to solution scope and maintain requirements traceability.
• Support and execute business readiness activities including communication plans for technology, process, and people changes.
• Develop new procedures, specifications for system changes, or recommendations for product and process changes, and facilitate implementation.
• Design customer feedback mechanisms, analyze results, and create plans to address weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools to measure performance against metrics and benchmarks, ensuring data integrity and systems stability.
• Provide timely access to data, distribute reports, and present results to supported business areas and other areas as needed; partner with trainers to develop targeted training.
• Apply industry-standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, workflow analysis, business process mapping, functional decomposition, and financial ROI modeling for intermediate initiatives.
• Support business vendor relationships by documenting business issues, determining project needs, and supporting training.
• Perform peer reviews of less experienced analysts’ work as needed.
