Job summary

Community Health Centers is seeking a Billing Representative to review claims for billing accuracy and compliance. You will ensure third party payer claims are paid timely and complete duties per the Billing Guidelines.

The role requires on-site work with in-person training in Winter Garden for the first 90 days. Candidates should have one year of medical billing experience and familiarity with eClinical Works or similar software.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to communicate clearly with patients and internal teams.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology and billing processes.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, managed care, and third-party payer policies.

Responsibilities

• Review claims for accuracy per Medicare/Medicaid policies.
• Transfer balances to patient responsibility for non-covered items.
• Research and correct denied claims.
• Perform insurance follow-up and aging analysis.
• Submit paper and electronic claims to payers; adjust accounts as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of billing policy updates and update eCW records.
• Communicate with internal/external customers about account status.
