Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is seeking a BI Data Scientist to analyze complex data, build models, and deliver insights to guide strategic decisions. You will collaborate across finance, actuarial, marketing, and IT teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

The role offers remote, hybrid, or onsite work options in accordance with company policy, with residency in Kansas or Missouri preferred. You will work with health analytics, data warehouses, and IT teams to enable informed business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or related role.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends and correlations and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Model Development: Develop, test, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models and scenario forecasting.
• Data Visualization: Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work with stakeholders to translate needs into data-driven solutions and document data sources and models.
• Data Management: Ensure data quality, integrity, and security; develop data collection and preparation processes.
• Research & Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and explore new methodologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
