Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Authorization Specialist to obtain prior authorization information for in-home therapies and prescriptions. You will work closely with Patient Intake Coordinators and insurance providers to ensure timely processing and high-quality customer service for patients and healthcare professionals.

In this fast-paced role, you will navigate pharmacy benefits, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage while understanding government and patient assistance programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with benefits with insurance companies.
• Experience with Authorization Requests.
• Data entry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document Authorization.
• Provide information on specialty medications/home infusion services.
• Comply with applicable regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Coordinate with the Patient Intake Coordinators for new and existing accounts.
• Investigate level of insurance coverage to assess Authorization for the program.
• Communicate with medical professionals and insurance company personnel.
• Provide input on self reviews.
• Assist less experienced peers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
