Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in medical billing.
• CAC exam passed or within 1 year of employment.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medi-Cal and private insurance billing.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Research accounts for missing information and obtain data from hospitals or other sources.
• Knowledge/compliance of Medicare standards and audits.
• Read, understand and communicate an EOB.
• Meet established productivity levels for accounts worked.
• Collect on and close accounts in a timely manner.
• Monitor and follow up on assigned workflows.
• Enter all ticket information into the billing system accurately and timely.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
