Job summary

L.A. Care Health Plan is seeking an Authorizations and Claims Analytics Solutions and Data Analyst III in Los Angeles. The role focuses on designing, developing, and operationalizing advanced analytic solutions across membership, encounters, providers, and claims to drive strategic insight and performance.

This position emphasizes production-ready analytics, governance, and mentorship of staff, while delivering actionable insights to leaders across the health plan.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive analytics experience in healthcare, managed care, or related industries.
• Experience designing, developing, and operationalizing analytic solutions across multiple domains.
• Experience translating multi-domain analytics into actionable insights for leadership and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate insights effectively to senior leadership and executives.
• Experience with UM authorization workflows and prior authorization metrics.

Responsibilities

• Designs and maintains reusable analytic data models and ETL pipelines.
• Leads development of dashboards, reports, and analytic tools surface trends and opportunities.
• Partners with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to embed insights into workflows.
• Implements and maintains version control and CI/CD practices for analytic codebases.
• Ensures data lineage, governance, and reproducibility across analytic products.
• Supports measure refresh cycles and alignment with data abstraction layers.
• Drives enhancement of analytic ecosystem by integrating new data sources and improving performance.
• Translates analytic findings into business narratives and informs decision making.
