Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Data Scientist, Healthcare Analytics to support the Senior Data Scientist and business users in building analytics solutions. You will work with diverse data sources and apply machine‑learning techniques to develop models, partnering with IT to ensure proper data sourcing for modelling, and communicating results to non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a related field (MS preferred), 3+ years in healthcare analytics, strong SQL skills, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate BS in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, operations research, public health, or related field; MS preferred.
• 3+ years of professional work experience.
• 2+ years in quantitative data analyses in US healthcare.
• 2+ years in predictive, forecasting, and optimization with Python, R, or SAS.
• Exposure to cloud Big Data Stack for data gathering, cleansing, preparation and modelling preferred.
• Advanced SQL with Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
• Experience with data visualization tools Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with data visualization for analytic models in Rshiny, GGPlot, Qlik, Alteryx, Flask, D3, etc.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; team player with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Understand business user needs for data science solutions and translate into analytic work.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI and business analysts to source data.
• Develop analytic models using machine learning techniques.
• Present findings clearly to business and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to documentation and deliverables for data science projects.
