Job summary

Amazon AWS Applied AI Solutions seeks a software engineer to design and develop scalable healthcare AI services and cloud-based healthcare applications. You will build systems that power Amazon Connect Health and related services, with emphasis on robust architecture and reliable deployment.

You will collaborate with product managers, scientists, and engineers to ship features, participate in code reviews, and uphold coding standards and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, efficient software systems for healthcare AI services
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code for cloud‑based healthcare applications
• Collaborate with product managers, applied scientists, and other engineers to implement product features
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Help maintain operational excellence and compliance with industry standards
• Work on data processing, analytics, and machine learning systems for healthcare applications
• Contribute to technical discussions and help drive continuous improvement
