Job summary

Healthcare Shares PBC is seeking accomplished leaders to serve as Member of the Board of Advisors – Hospital Consumer Experience. This remote role offers strategic governance guidance for Healthcare Shares' growth across VC, studio, and services.

You will advise on priorities, market opportunities, partnerships, and founder support, committing roughly 2–4 hours per month. Carrying interest and sweat equity opportunities may apply, with networking across healthcare founders and investors.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in healthcare leadership and governance.
• Experience serving on or with boards or advisory councils.
• Ability to commit approx. 2–4 hours per month to board participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on Healthcare Shares’ growth, positioning, partnerships, investment focus, and long-term vision.
• Advise on healthcare market trends, emerging opportunities, startup evaluation, founder support, and social impact strategy.
• Contribute leadership insight across areas such as clinical care, healthcare operations, digital health, biotech, medical devices, pharma, payer/provider strategy, healthcare AI, investing, or entrepreneurship.
• Support Healthcare Shares by offering relevant introductions, perspective, and expertise to strengthen the firm’s ecosystem and portfolio support.
• Participate in periodic board-related discussions and provide thoughtful recommendations based on professional background and area of expertise.
• Significant experience in healthcare, medicine, life sciences, venture capital, startups, healthcare operations, digital health, medical devices, biotech, pharma, healthcare AI, or related fields.
• Senior leadership, board, advisory, investing, entrepreneurial, clinical, executive, or operating experience preferred.
• Strong professional network within healthcare, investment, startup, clinical, hospital, payer, provider, pharma, biotech, health technology, or innovation ecosystems.
