Job summary

MedStar Health – Washington Hospital Center is offering an internship to provide exposure to governance, management, finance, and regulatory aspects of healthcare. Interns will rotate through departments with a dedicated mentor guiding projects tailored to their program of study.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in accredited college/university and entering senior year or enrolled in graduate degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Seek opportunities to improve systems and processes.
• Attend Leadership and other meetings as appropriate.
• Complete special projects designated by Executive or Hospital Leadership; present findings.
• Contribute to department goals and adhere to policies, standards and regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement teams and community outreach.
• Respond to information requests promptly.
• Support MedStar Health Mission and professional development.
