Job summary

Hematology & Oncology Consultants (HOC) in Omaha, NE, is seeking an Accountant II to serve as a key financial partner responsible for accurate reporting, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting month-end close for assigned practices and management companies.

This role provides financial analysis, budgeting support, account reconciliations, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with GAAP, MSAs, and The US Oncology Network's ethics and compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of progressively responsible accounting or fiscal management experience; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the general ledger, including preparing schedules, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
  • Processes monthly close activities for assigned practices accurately and on time.
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting packages with accuracy and completeness.
  • Performs account reconciliations and ensures proper expense classification.
  • Assists with budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned practices.
  • Maintains fixed asset records and depreciation calculations.
