The Office of the Attorney General (AGO) in Seattle seeks an experienced attorney to join the Healthcare Team as an Assistant Attorney General. You will advise UW Medicine’s health system, its schools, and related entities on diverse healthcare and higher education matters.

Qualifications

• At least five years of legal experience; healthcare or higher education law preferred.
• Active listening and curiosity in client advisory work.
• Licensed to practice law in Washington state; ABA accreditation or WSBA Rule 6 path.
• Ability to provide high-level, practical, and complex legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise and represent UW Medicine’s multi-entity health system.
• Advise on healthcare, higher education matters, fraud and abuse, contracts, privacy, and compliance.
• Represent UW Medicine’s schools and biomedical research community.
• Collaborate with UW Medicine teams and health system stakeholders.
