Job summary

New Collaborative Learning Trust is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Lead Practitioner at Dinnington High School to provide high-quality care to pupils, administer medications, and support safeguarding within the school. You will ensure medicines are stored correctly and aligned with policy, while coordinating with staff to maintain wellbeing as a barrier to learning.

Key Information

Location: Dinnington High School

Salary: Band E of the Schools Support Staff Pay Scale £26,403.00 - £28,142.00 FTE (Actual £22,950.33 - £24,461.89 pro rata) with an additional responsibility allowance of £1,200 (for administration of medication)

Contract Type: Full Time, term time only, plus 2 Inset days

Contract Term: Permanent

Closing Date: Monday 21st September

Interview Date: Wednesday 23rd September

Start Date: As Soon As Possible

As Health and Wellbeing Lead Practitioner you will provide a high-quality service of care to pupils and contribute to the medical/first aid/safeguarding provision across the school community. As part of the role, you will administer medication according to the school’s medicine policy and oversee the supervision of storage of medicines. You will also work alongside attendance team and a broader pastoral team to provide day to day support for children with health, wellbeing and safeguarding issues that present as barriers to learning and in some cases poor attendance.

To be successful in this role you will have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, be personable, self‑motivated and professional with good communication skills, be able to work flexibly under pressure, balancing changing priorities and be willing to undertake further training relevant to the role.
