Health & Welfare Actuary Associate Data Analyst
Your Responsibilities
- Production of monthly financial reports through gathering of financial data, analyzing/manipulating/inputting the data, and delivering reports to internal client teams
- Email correspondence with internal client teams confirming receipt of reports and tracking updates/changes
- Assist with drafting standard actuarial projects: Projections, IBNRs, Network Discount Analysis, and Access Analysis
- Assist with drafting ad-hoc financial analyses for client teams
- Participate in actuarial department summits and identify process improvements
- Assist in process, methodology, and model updates regarding financial reporting
- Participate in training on the basics of self-funding, plan design, actuarial models, and excel
- Other financial analysis assignments as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Business-related field
- 0-1 year of experience in employee welfare benefits or similar field
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Strong mathematical, technical, and analytical skillset
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates, clients, and vendors
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to learn other programs as required
- Self-directed/Self-starter with an eye for detail
- Handles confidential information in the best interest of both client and company
- Legal right to work in the United States
