Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the Main OR at Beaches. This full-time day position runs Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, at Baptist Beaches. The role focuses on clerical functions to support nursing units and patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates thrive in a busy environment and demonstrate strong organizational and customer service skills. High School Diploma/GED is required, A.A. degree preferred, and BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in clerical roles within a healthcare setting is desirable.
• Familiarity with unit secretarial tasks and patient flow is helpful.
• Basic life support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights and phone calls promptly.
• Order and inventory unit supplies and equipment.
• Maintain patient chart folders.
• Greet and assist all customers while upholding service standards.
• Keep the nursing station neat and orderly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Baptist Health is seeking a motivated individual to join the Baptist team as a Health Unit Coordinator in the Main OR. This Health Unit Coordinator role is a Full-Time Days position working Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm and is located at Baptist Beaches.
We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have confidence working in a clerical role. Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs) are responsible for secretarial activities of the nursing unit.

Additional Responsibilities Include

• Answering call lights and phone calls promptly
• Ordering and taking inventory of unit supplies and equipment
• Maintaining patient chart folders
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
