Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator for the H80 Internal Medicine Telemetry unit. This part-time role involves nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am on the Main Campus, providing patient greeting, admission processing, and coordination of care.

You will support the unit by maintaining records, assisting with discharge processes, and guiding patients and families to resources while handling routine clerical tasks and equipment troubleshooting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience in a customer service-related role.
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework.
• College degree preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Assist with processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.

H80 – General Medicine/Telemetry is a collaborative acute care unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adults with various health concerns, that may include congestive heart failure, diabetes or other complex medical needs. H80 offers nurses a dynamic and rewarding environment where you will build expertise in clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient-centered care while working within a supportive team that promotes professional growth and development.
A caregiver in this position works Part-time, nights, 7:00pm—7:30am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of experience in a customer service‑related role
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• College degree
• Microsoft Office experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires frequent data entry, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Requires normal or corrected speech, hearing and vision.
• Requires some exposure to communicable disease or body fluids.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
