Job summary

SOLDIER READINESS CENTER at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC, seeks a Health Technician and Administrative Assistant to support SR readiness programs and provide clinical and administrative assistance.

You will assist healthcare providers with routine medical evaluations, help maintain medical records, and handle bio-hazard materials within a medical department. Federal service pay scales and benefits apply.

• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting healthcare providers to perform basic and routine medical evaluation of patients; utilizing healthcare systems to maintain medical files and records; and managing, storing, handling, and disposing of bio-hazard materials for a medical department.
• Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in Anatomy, Physiology or Biology, or at least 24 semester hours in those subjects.
• Combination of Education and Experience: A combination may be used as long as the computed percentage is at least 100%.

About the Position:

This position serves as a health technician and administrative assistant within the Soldier Readiness Center, performing a variety of health care and administrative support duties for Soldier Readiness (SR), and is located with Womack Army Medical Center's, at Fort Bragg, NC. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as; Anatomy, Physiology and Biology.. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
