The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Health System Specialist – Health Professions Education (HPE) to support DEO and HPE management.

This role develops, maintains, and evaluates quality programs for health professions trainees and oversees administrative duties aligned with VHA academic missions and OAA plans. You will review trainee applications, manage onboarding, coordinate with facility leaders, and synthesize data across systems to improve processes.

Formación

• 1 year of specialized experience in health care administrative or management work.
• Experience with health care delivery systems, regulations, and credentialing.
• Ability to analyze data and coordinate administrative or clinical activities.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for HPE program technical work including affiliation agreements, trainee qualifications and credentials, letters of agreement, and onboarding/offboarding of health professions trainees.
• Review and validate HPT applications, qualifications, and appointments against OAA criteria before rotations and patient care.
• Provide authoritative analyses, policy guidance, and opinions on HPT appointments and onboarding related to HPE programs.
• Enhance process efficiency and training experiences to support VA recruitment and retention of qualified HPTs.
• Implement SOPs, develop training programs, and advise on HPE regulations with OAA and affiliates.
