Job summary

LCMC Health’s University Medical Center in New Orleans seeks a patient-focused Visitor Services Associate to greet guests, manage check-in, and guide them to care areas.

You will uphold HIPAA privacy, provide directions, handle inquiries, and support patient satisfaction as part of a compassionate hospital team.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent or 2 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Check in visitors using the visitor management system and direct them to the attending physician.
• Welcome patients and visitors and provide information and directions to locations within the hospital.
• Provide patient information in compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Assist in improving patient satisfaction; anticipate family needs and resolve issues early.
• Receive guest suggestions and complaints and escalate through proper channels.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Performs visitor management system check in to determine patient's needs and directing them to the attending physician.
• Welcomes patients and visitors to the hospital. Provides information and directions to locations throughout the hospital for patients and guests.
• Provides patient information in compliance with the HIPAA requirements and organizational privacy policies.
• Assists in improving patient satisfaction. Anticipates family needs and resolves issues before they become major source of concern.
• Receives guest suggestions, complaints and escalates through proper channels.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
