Job summary
Saint Louis Public Schools is seeking a Secondary Health Science Instructor to plan, organize, and deliver a health education program. The role includes preparing course materials, maintaining student records, and advising students on academic and career paths within a health science context.
The instructor will lead activities to help students become certified as a Nurse Aide, assist in CPR/First Aid education, and maintain ties with local hospitals and clinics.
Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or RN required.
- Missouri Teaching Certificate or eligibility required.
- Must commit to obtaining Missouri Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate (district will apply).
- Minimum of three years of verified Medical Assistant experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions and instructional activities.
- Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
- Prepare and deliver lectures and assignments on health-related topics.
- Maintain student attendance, grades, and other records.
- Advise students on academic and vocational curricula.
