Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) Professional (Supervisor) to join our Le Center, MN facility. You will drive day-to-day safety initiatives and administer the EHS program to prevent accidents and minimize environmental impact.

The role requires strong knowledge of safety regulations, incident investigation, recordkeeping, and collaboration with HR and operations to promote a proactive safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Technical Safety degree or certification or related education.
• Thorough knowledge of occupational health & safety regulations and standards.
• CSP/CRSP designation is a plus but not required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to influence at all levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• High motivation, team-oriented, detail-focused with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and advise management on actions.
• Lead or support incident investigations using root cause analysis and track data.
• Maintain records of safety incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Collaborate with other facilities to share best practices and support initiatives.
• Review safe work procedures, reports, and perform safety compliance inspections.
• Monitor adherence to the company safety program for all employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Coordinate with HR on workers' compensation management.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports (e.g., OSHA 300/300A) where applicable.
• Coordinate site health and safety committee and liaise with security as needed.
• Assist in developing safety culture at the facility.

Dessert Holdings is looking for aHealth, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) Professional(Supervisor) to join our team based inLe Center, MNto be responsible for the day-to-day safety initiatives in our facility. TheEHS Professionalwill promote safety attitudes, safe work practices and environments, and maintain and administer the EHS program with the objective of preventing accidents, injuries, and environmental impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations by understanding existing and changing laws and rules, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence, and advising management on needed actions.
• Lead and/or support incident and accident investigation using root cause analysis and reporting and tracking any data
• Responsible for keeping records of safety-related incidents and recommendation and administration of corrective measures.
• Collaborate and share best practices with other Company facilities and support the execution of initiatives.
• Review safe work procedures, written reports, and provide recommendations. Perform safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis & risk assessments.
• Responsible for monitoring adherence to the company safety program by all Dessert Holdings employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Partner with Human Resources in workers compensation management.
• Understand local incident record keeping requirements. Responsible for completing and submitting compliance reports (300, 300A logs, injury reports, etc.) where applicable.
• Coordinate the site health and safety committee and ensure compliance, where applicable.
• Point of contact for on-site security, where applicable.
• Assist with developing safety culture at the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Technical Safety degree or certificationor related education is a must
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of occupational health & safety regulations, and occupational health and safety standards
• A professional designation (e.g., CSP, CRSP) is a plus but not required
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to be an effective influencer at all levels and display effective leadership skills
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office
• Effective organizational skills
• Must be a highly motivated, service- and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail effective managing self with little supervision – self driven.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to work in a production environment for extended periods of time, including stooping, standing, bending
• Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend
• Employee must lift up to 50 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded
• Must be able to work in a food allergens environment
• Working environment provides exposure to environmental changes (heat, cold, dampness, and chemicals)
