Job summary

Mount Sinai is seeking a Research Program Coordinator I to develop and participate in study protocols, design management and statistical plans, analyze data and prepare final reports from study projects.

This role involves human subjects or laboratory research, collaboration with fellows, grant applications, budget development and regulatory compliance including IRB/IACUC processes. A strong foundation in natural sciences is required.

Qualifications

• Masters in Natural Sciences or Bachelors in Natural Sciences with 5 years of progressive research experience.
• 4–5 years of research experience in data management and study coordination in healthcare or basic research.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on research methodologies and statistical analysis issues.
• Participate in primary analysis of evaluation datasets.
• Design and implement research projects focusing on health outcomes.
• Assist in project design, sample size calculations and consulting on statistical analyses.
• Document and record observations per regulatory requirements and MSMC protocols.
• Supervise personnel and guide research methods and techniques.
• Assist the Principal Investigator or Research Manager on grant applications.
• Assist in developing budgets and grant proposals including pilot studies.
• Complete IRB/IACUC and other regulatory applications and renewals.
• Develop and amend protocols; write policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with fellows on research projects and papers for publication.
