Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support Agile software development projects for federal and commercial clients in the Health industry. The role requires leading requirements activities and partnering with leadership to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

The candidate will translate business needs into technical artifacts, manage the backlog with Product Owners, and facilitate Agile ceremonies while mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development projects.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical artifacts (user stories, workflows, data requirements, APIs).
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation for Agile software development initiatives.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, testable user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Product Owners to manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog.
  • Act as a primary liaison between client stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Define and document functional and non-functional requirements (security, performance, integration, scalability).
  • Support testing, defect triage, and user acceptance activities to ensure solutions meet business intent.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
