CorrectHealth seeks a Health Information Technician (HIT) in Houma, LA, to join our growing team in a full-time capacity. The HIT will perform clerical tasks to support the Medical department and ensure accurate medical records management in line with corporate policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong written/verbal communication, knowledge of medical terminology, and basic computer skills; HIM experience is preferred.

*Job Summary: The Health Information Technician (HIT) is responsible for clerical functions related to the support and management of the Medical department. HIT is responsible for maintaining medical records and processes in accordance to corporate policy and procedures. The HIT is under the immediate
supervision of the HSA / HSC with additional reporting responsibilities to the Corporate Director of Health Information Management or designee. Must maintain a professional attitude at all times. *
