CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Health Information Services Tech III for the St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. The role focuses on HIM clerical tasks, managing rejected orders, suspensions, and unlinked medical record numbers within the EMR, and assisting with release of information as needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years HIM or related experience in an electronic health record or completion of an HIM accredited program.
• Proficient in medical terminology.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Health Information Services Tech III, you will perform all HIM clerical job functions, and manage rejected orders, suspensions, and duplicate/unlinked medical record numbers in the EMR, potentially assisting with release of information.

Every day you will process and resolve complex issues related to medical records, ensuring accuracy and integrity within the electronic medical record system, and may assist with critical release of information requests.

To be successful in this role, you will possess advanced clerical and technical skills in HIM, meticulous attention to detail in resolving complex EMR issues, a strong understanding of record integrity, and the ability to work independently to maintain accurate patient information.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of HIM or related experience working in an electronic health record OR completion of an HIM accredited program
• Proficient in medical terminology

Preferred

• Associate Degree in healthcare related field
• Registered Health Information Tech (RHIT or RHIA)
