Job Description

The Health Information Data Analytics Coordinator is responsible for advancing organizational performance through the analysis, management, and optimization of health information and revenue cycle data. The role oversees reporting, performance analytics and Discharged Not Final Biled (DNFB) account management to ensure timely reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and informed decision making. Serving as a key liaison among Health Information Management (HIM), Clinical Document Improvement (CDI), Coding, Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, and clinical departments, the coordinator identifies trends, monitors key performance indicators, develops actionable reports and dashboards, and drives the resolution of documentation, coding and billing issues that impact financial and operational outcomes. The position requires analytical expertise to support data driven process improvements, reduces DNFB backlogs, improve data quality, ensure optimization of internal systems and ensure the integrity of health information.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree. Two to three years of previous work related experience. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and/or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by American Health Information Management Association. Strong analytic, organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills, working with Microsoft Office. Critical thinking and multi-tasking. Medical Terminology. Strong communication skills necessary to work with physicians. Stooping or bending.
