Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Venice is seeking a dedicated HIM Coordinator to oversee medical records, coding, and release of information. The role ensures compliant health information workflows and accurate record handling.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in HIM, with RHIA/RHIT preferred, and a solid understanding of regulatory requirements. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a Health Information Management Department is required.
• Graduate of a Health Information Management program preferred with RHIA/RHIT registry (not required).
• Strong knowledge of medical records lifecycle, coding, and release of information processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management of medical records, coding, and release of information.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory requirements.

The HIM Coordinator is responsible for the overall management of medical records, coding, and release of information and health information processes. The HIM Coordinator is consistent with policies and procedures as set forth by accrediting and regulatory agencies.

Education and Training: Prefers the HIM Coordinator to be a graduate of a Health Information Management program with subsequent passing of the registry examination (RHIA) or accreditation (RHIT), but not required.

Experience: 1-3 years (1-3) experience in a Health Information Management Department is required.
