Job summary

Blue Cross North Carolina Foundation is seeking a Program Officer for Healthy Communities in Durham to advance health equity by strengthening multi-sector partnerships and community capacity.

You will manage grantee portfolios, coordinate capacity building and technical assistance, and oversee contracts with vendors and consultants while advancing an equity-led, community-centered approach across North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years in program management or community impact work.
• Experience with multi-sector collaborations and community-based initiatives is preferred.
• Strong writing and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-site, place-based initiative to advance health equity and strengthen partnerships.
• Support grantees and vendors with capacity building, technical assistance, and contract oversight.
• Plan, convene and facilitate stakeholder meetings and learning opportunities.
• Develop processes to track progress, workflows, and engagement across teams and partners.
• Represent the Foundation in state and national activities to advance Healthy Communities.
