Job summary

Adagio Health is hiring a full-time Health Educator for its Langley office in Pittsburgh, PA to serve Allegheny County. The role supports the Nutrition & Education Department and helps implement Teen Outreach Program and HeaRT, plus other public health education activities.

The Health Educator will deliver curricula in varied settings, build partnerships, track data, and provide engaging lessons. Travel to multiple offices is expected; a BS degree and strong interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to develop and evaluate education programming.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car; travel is required.

POSITION: Health Educator

REPORTS TO: Nutrition & Education Programs Supervisor

Adagio Health is looking to hire a full-time Health Educator for its Langley office in Pittsburgh, PA to serve Allegheny County partners. The pay for this position is $19.40/hour.

Adagio Health is seeking an energetic Health Educator to join the Nutrition & Education Department. The Health Educator will support the implementation of:

1. Teen Outreach Program (TOP)- a social-emotional learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth.
2. Healthy Relationships Toolkit (HeaRT)- CDC-developed model to prevent violence in adolescence that teaches 11 to 14-year-olds healthy relationship skills to prevent violence before it starts.
3. Additional programs related to public health as applicable, including substance abuse education

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BS degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field. Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming. Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car. Travel is required on a regular basis.
