Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Consultant of Payment Model Operations to support day-to-day operations for value-based care contracts, onboarding participants, communications, help desk, and compliance.

You will work with senior leaders to deliver high-quality deliverables and drive innovation. Remote work from anywhere in the U.S.; Minneapolis or DC-area offices may require four days in person per week.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of health policy experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, evaluation and/or policy expertise.
  • 2+ years of experience working on CMS/CMMI value-based care payment initiatives.
  • Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work as a subject matter expert.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

The Consultant of Payment Model Operations will support the day to day operational efforts for payment model implementation contracts, including participant onboarding, participant management and communications, help desk operations, and monitoring and compliance activities.

Working collaboratively with senior leaders and cross functional teams across the organization, the Consultant will deliver exceptional client service, produce high quality, timely deliverables, and drive innovation across the market.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary project team
  • Support business development and growth activities, including capture and proposal response

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of relevant health policy industry experience in healthcare consulting, program implementation, quality improvement, evaluation, and/or policy expertise
  • 2+ years of experience working on CMS/CMMI value-based care payment initiatives
  • Broad understanding of federal health policy issues, with ability to work in multiple areas serving as a subject matter expert
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
