Job summary

Goodpath seeks a Health Coach Manager to deliver a best-in-class, medically-oriented coaching experience and lead a growing team of coaches. You will mentor staff, oversee telehealth sessions, and collaborate with leadership to improve care delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in health sciences, 5+ years of direct patient care, and 2+ years in digital/telehealth coaching management, with strong communication and cultural humility.

Qualifications

• . Master’s health sciences degree in nursing, advanced practice (NP, PA), behavioral psychology, nutrition, physical therapy or equivalent.

• 5+ years experience in direct patient care, such as in physical therapy clinic, cardiac rehab, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting, nutrition counseling.
• 2+ years experience in digital or telehealth coaching as a manager and/or trainer of other coaches.
• High level of competence in the use of technology and digital tools.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Self-starter with a passion for person-centered care.
• Ability to communicate with diverse backgrounds with cultural humility.
• Desire to be part of healthcare innovation team.
• Ability to navigate uncertain situations with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage programs for a member panel with musculoskeletal pain, sleep, digestive, mental health, cancer survivorship, and weight and diabetes management issues.
• Conduct telehealth visits focused on behavioral coaching and Goodpath program adherence.
• Manage our team of coaches, including day-to-day questions and support and bi-weekly 1:1 meetings.
• Provide regular feedback to coaches to support their development including, but not limited to, member session review to enhance coach performance.
• Collaborate with Director of Coaching and Coach Operations Manager on data analysis of outcomes to support areas of improvement for care delivery.
• Review health content for quality and patient understanding and providing feedback to other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize your specific clinical training and background to support continuing our desire to leverage best standards for coaching and delivery of a novel digital health product.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training processes for prospective coaches.

About the Job:

Coaching is an integral part of the Goodpath client experience. We are looking to hire a health coach manager who can deliver a best-in-class, medically-oriented coaching experience, helping our clients achieve the best possible outcomes toward better whole-person health in addition to managing and mentoring our current and growing team of highly qualified coaches.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in direct patient care, such as in physical therapy clinic, cardiac rehab, inpatient hospital setting, outpatient hospital setting, nutrition counseling (note that health/wellness coaching, fitness, and educator experiences do not count toward this)
• 2+ years experience in digital or telehealth coaching as a manager and/or trainer of other coaches
• High level of competence in the use of technology and digital tools
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Self-starter with a passion for person-centered care
• The ability to successfully communicate with and provide care to individuals of all backgrounds with strong understanding of cultural humility
• The desire to be an integral part of a team passionate about healthcare innovation
• The ability to confidently navigate uncertain situations with both patients and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:

• Breadth of understanding of integrative care across disciplines such as nutrition, exercise, mind-body, and medicines and supplements
• NBC-HWC Coaching Certification
