Job summary

Valley State Prison in Chowchilla, California, seeks a Chief Executive Officer, Health Care (Safety) to lead and manage the inmate health care program. This 12-month limited-term full-time role reports to the Regional Health Care Executive and oversees all health services across the institution, including medical, mental health, dental, pharmacy, and medication management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading health care administration in a correctional or equivalent setting.
• MBA/MPH/MMM or Masters in health care field preferred.
• Background verification and TB testing requirements prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate 24/7 operation of one or two institutions.
• Advise on health care policies and procedures for the institution.
