Job summary

ShopRite in Berlin, NJ is hiring a Health and Beauty Clerk to deliver a great customer experience in the HABA Department. The role handles receiving, pricing, restocking, and assisting customers with product selection.

Typical duties include maintaining clean aisles, stocking shelves, and communicating with customers while following store policies and safety rules. This position requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine duties.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time/attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Greet all Customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
• Assist in stocking, inventory, and price maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating items and retrieving products from shelves or storage.
• Regularly lift/push/pull merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Follow approved procedures for receiving and storing product.
