YMCA of Superior California seeks a Health & Wellness program supervisor to support Personal Training, Group Exercise, and Fitness activities under the Program Director. You will supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and help maintain safety programs across branches.

You’ll need a high school diploma, fitness experience, and supervisory background, with preferred Bachelor’s in education or recreation. The role includes benefits, training, and opportunities to engage with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma.
• Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or equivalent preferred.
• Equivalent of two years of education beyond high school.
• Three years’ experience in Fitness, teaching children and adults.
• Two years’ experience in supervision.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, ACSM, or YMCA Fitness Specialist.
• Commitment to working with children and adults from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staff training.
• Assist with expenses and income for Fitness Programs.
• Supervise Fitness Staff; review and submit staff timesheets.
• Develop and implement Fitness activities and schedules.
• Procure and maintain equipment and supplies for Fitness programs.
• Organize and manage all record keeping and staff evaluation.
• Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, members and staff.
• Lead and participate in teaching classes; respond to member concerns.
• Ensure Fitness Safety and Risk Management programs are in place.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Recruit, orient, train, supervise and empower volunteers.
• Participate in Special Events for the YMCA.
• Assist with development of marketing tools.
• Participate in Association and regional YMCA activities.
• Maintain a positive team attitude.
• All other duties as assigned.

Overview

Under the supervision of the Program Director of Health & Wellness this position is responsible for assisting in supervision and coordination as well the vison and standard practices for all branches in the areas of Personal Training, Group Exercise and Personal Fitness.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staff training.

• Assist with supervision of the Fitness Staff; review and submit staff timesheets.
• Assist Program Director with development and implementation of Fitness activities and schedules.
• Procure and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies for Fitness programs.

• Participate in Association and regional YMCA activities as assigned or requested with supervisor’s approval.

Posted Salary Range

USD $24.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
