Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to shape HS&E across central and eastern regions for a groundworks/civil engineering contractor. The role combines site visits, office time and flexible home working.

You will lead standards, inspections, audits and campaigns to improve safety culture, support investigations, RAMS/SSOW, and train teams. NEBOSH with civils experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum).
• Experience in a similar H&S role (groundworks/civils experience desirable).
• Strong communication and influencing skills – able to engage at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to set and uphold high HS&E standards.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and reports to inform decisions.
• Lead safety improvements, initiatives and campaigns to develop a strong safety culture.
• Support investigations, identify root causes and put effective controls in place.
• Advise operational teams and help develop safe systems of work (RAMS, SSOW).
• Coordinate training needs analysis and arrange courses to support development.
• Build relationships with clients, supply chain, regulators and auditors.

Are you looking for the opportunity to shape and influence Health & Safety across a fast-growing civils contractor?

We’re supporting a leading groundworks and infrastructure business in their search for an Health & Safety Advisor to cover the central region. This is a people-focused company that has grown rapidly over the last five years, now looking to strengthen their safety function with someone who can drive standards forward.

The role will be covering sites across Central/Eastern Region, with a blend of site visits, occasional office time and flexibility to work from home.
