Job summary

JR Enterprise, LLC, in partnership with the VA North Texas Healthcare System (VANTHCS), is seeking Health Aides to support Veterans in the Bonham Domiciliary Program. This role involves rehabilitation, mental health care, and daily living activities in a structured inpatient environment.

Responsibilities include direct patient care per VA policies, rounds, documenting care in CPRS/VISTA, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Completion of two years of college/university study (minimum 12 semester hours in courses such as health sciences, nursing, behavioral science, social science, guidance/counseling/teaching, biological sciences, or related fields).
• Minimum 1 year experience in direct patient care performing therapeutic and supportive tasks in a rehabilitation or residential treatment program, assisting physicians and other personnel.
• Current BLS and/or ACLS certification.
• Proficient in English and able to complete VA-mandated training courses.
• Must meet VA health, immunization, and testing requirements (TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, COVID-19, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens).
• U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities for residents.

• Follow infection control, PPE, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams.

Education

Schedule: Full-time, varied shifts (Sunday–Thursday: 11:30 PM–8:00 AM; Tuesday–Saturday: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 3:30 PM–12:00 AM)
