Careasehealth is seeking a Principal Engineer to architect and build the clinical intelligence platform that will define its future. This hands-on role includes designing architecture, integrating EHR systems, and leading the engineering team as the platform matures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering with production systems.
• Experience with healthcare data infrastructure and clinical AI.
• Ability to architect and build integration layers for clinical tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the architecture of Carease's clinical intelligence platform.
• Own the EHR integration strategy across leading SNF/LTPAC platforms.
• Define FHIR, HL7, and internal API standards for interoperability.

Skills

7+ years of software engineering

Production experience of healthcare data infrastructure

Direct working knowledge of the SNF/LTPAC EHR ecosystem

Fluency in healthcare data standards

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Experience with multi-source data infrastructure

Understanding of HIPAA, SOC 2, and HITRUST

Experience building third-party integrations

Building production systems on fragmented infrastructure
