Job summary

The IAP Support Specialist serves as a resource to ensure operational excellence for the Tennessee Department of Health Ryan White Part B AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), comprised of IAP and HDAP. IAP is administered through a third-party vendor and HDAP is managed by TDH.

The overarching goal is to improve health and well-being of low-income Tennesseans by ensuring year-round access to HIV medications for all enrollees, while interfacing among Ryan White field case managers, TDH partners,

Qualifications

• Essential duties include providing real-time assistance with IAP enrollment, eligibility, renewals and participation.
• Coordinate with Ryan White field case managers to identify and resolve issues affecting HIV/AIDS clients.
• Communicate program updates and enrollment requirements clearly to stakeholders.
• Promote continuity of care and access to treatment while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Ryan White field case managers seeking real-time IAP enrollment support.
• Guide clients through enrollment policies, documentation requirements, and processes.
• Troubleshoot enrollment barriers and resolve issues impacting access to insurance and HIV medications.
• Communicate updates and changes to enrollment requirements in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Tennessee medical case managers to resolve issues, supporting barriers to care.
• Assist with researching client concerns while ensuring program guidelines and confidentiality.
• Promote a client-centered approach focused on continuity of care and access to treatment.
