Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a casual Healing Touch practitioner to deliver patient-centered therapies at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. You will provide Healing Touch treatments, document in the EHR, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support comfort and healing.
Requires a high school diploma, Healing Touch Course 1, and completion of Course 2 within 6 months of hire; annual mandatory education and BLS within 3 months are preferred.

Location: Methodist Hospital Address: 8303 Dodge St, Omaha, NE Work Schedule: This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an 'as needed' basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days/hours will often vary from week to week. Accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients and families according to the individualized needs of the patient.

Education High school diploma required. Completion of Healing Touch Course 1 required. Successful completion of annual mandatory education requirements. Completion of Healing Touch Course 2 required within 6 months of hire. Completion of 4 hours of continuing education related to Healing Touch annually required.
Experience Six months experience inpatient hospital setting preferred. One year of Healing Touch experience preferred.
License/Certifications Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Strong interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and interact with patients, family members, hospital personnel, and co-workers. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments. Ability to learn, retain, and utilize computer skills that are required for department and hospital information system.
