Job summary

ITW Automotive in Kentucky is seeking a skilled manufacturing operator to set-up and tear-down on Header/Threader and related equipment. You will pull tooling components for repair, load stock on de-coilers, verify stock size and move material to designated areas.

The role includes completing paperwork, performing SPC checks, recording data, maintaining lubrication, and training new operators while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with set-up and tear-down on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to perform SPC checks and data recording.
  • Willing to train new operators and perform basic repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and tear-down set-ups on Header/Threader and other equipment.
  • Pull tooling components for repair and re-install.
  • Load stock on de-coilers.
  • Verify stock size.
  • Check parts and dump into containers at required intervals.
  • Complete and sign-off on all paperwork.
  • Perform SPC checks and record data.
  • Dump scrap hoppers and scrap pans.
  • Move material and parts to the assigned area.
  • Weigh and record containers of parts.
  • Perform minor equipment repairs.
  • Maintain machine and tooling lubricant and follow all preventive maintenance practices.
  • Train or assist in training new operators.
  • Operate a forklift or hand truck.
  • Perform machine repairs and adjustments.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.
