Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks a faculty member to join the Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine as an Assistant/Associate Professor focusing on headache medicine. Primary duties include outpatient clinical care and teaching across residents, fellows, and medical students, with potential involvement in research.

The successful candidate will be Board-eligible or Board-certified in MD/DO, hold an Ohio medical license, and complete a headache fellowship.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with board eligibility or board certification.
• Active or eligible for an Ohio medical license.
• Completion of a 12 month Headache fellowship training program.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care in headache medicine.
• Document findings, plan, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines and standards.
• Maintain a working knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues that impact on patient care.
• Maintain records and statistics in accordance with department policies.
• Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
• Participate in departmental collaboration, supporting strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center.
• Participate in department's continuous quality improvement efforts.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
• Provide education to other health care professionals.
• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students, contributing to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision.
• Other related duties as assigned.
