Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with middle school students and athletes, and possess OSAA certifications.
• Please include a letter of interest detailing qualifications, coaching experience (specify years and level) and OSAA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and sustaining a competitive and fulfilling middle school wrestling program.
• Coach and model skills, work ethic, and values appropriate for a middle school program with emphasis on academics, safety, and skill level.

Job Description

Position begins 2026-2027 school year. Salary Schedule is based on the2026-2027 school year.

All offers of employment are contingent upon board approval and the applicant’s satisfactory completion of a drug screening test(including marijuana), background and reference checks. Siuslaw School District strives to provide a safe, alcohol and drug free environment for all employees.

*The Siuslaw School District allows a maximum of 3 years of outside experience on the salary schedule.

MIDDLE SCHOOL HEAD WRESTLING COACH, COACHING, EXTRA DUTY

Duties and Responsibilities:To assist in building and sustaining a competitive and fulfilling program for everyone involved in the program. To be able to effectively coach and model skills, work ethic and values inherent to a strong middle school program. This position requires positive communication skills regarding all expectations and requirements of a middle school program connected to academics, safety and skill level.

Knowledge and Ability:The coach should possess a strong fundamental knowledge of wrestling as well as current relevant knowledge of the Sky-Em League. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with middle school students and athletes, and possess proper OSAA certifications.

Evaluation:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
