Job summary

Trenton R-IX School District, Trenton Middle School in Missouri, seeks a Head Wrestling Coach to lead the program for the upcoming season. The role requires MS/HSAA certification and oversight of practice planning, competitions, and equipment management.

You will report to the Athletic Director, supervise student-athletes, assistant coaches, and volunteers, coordinate transportation, and ensure compliance with district policies and CSIP objectives. Criminal background clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate Certification by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of MSHSAA rules, event procedures, coaching technique.
• Organize and schedule practice.
• Ensure all participants have all required equipment.
• Distribute and collect inventory of all returned equipment.
• Organize fund raising.
• Establish performance criteria for participation.
• Organize presentation of awards and banquet at the end of the season.
• Ensure transportation to events.
• Attend all events.
• Keep appropriate records.
• Maintain rapport with participant parents.
• Communicate and cooperate with media.
• Promote positive relations between the school, District, Board and community.
• Work closely with the Athletic Director to schedule facilities use.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Keep Athletic Director informed of issues.

• Work closely with the Athletic Director to schedule field and facilty use.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Keep Atlethic Director informed of appropriate issues.

Terms of employment: Contract establishedby the Board - generally the sport's season
