Job description

How We Deliver Excellence

As an Independent Contractor, you retain sole professional discretion over your on-court coaching methods, practice designs, and game strategies. However, you are contractually expected to execute these services in strict alignment with the academy's cultural standards, administrative deliverables, and institutional values. We maintain a balance of radical operational accountability and professional grace to help our coaches and athletes thrive.

What You Will Do (The Deliverables)
High-Performance Coaching
  • Design and execute elite team training and practice blocks using your own independent professional judgment.
  • Champion the club's data-driven 85% Development Rule by leading teams through competitive division advancements to maximize athletic growth.
  • Manage team personnel, guide assistant coaches, and supervise athletes during specialized strength sessions with Kinetic.
Operational Compliance & Active Cultural Delivery
  • Complete all required background clearances, safe sport guidelines, and certifications no later than 30 days prior to the first seasonal activity.
  • Enforce structural gym protocols and pre-practice readiness routines to ensure athletes are focused, responsible, and mentally prepared before stepping onto the court.
  • Maintain strict compliance with the regulations of USA Volleyball (USAV), KRVA, AAU, and the NCAA.
Administrative Quality Control
  • Weekly Practice Plans: Formulate and submit weekly tactical plans utilizing club templates by Monday at 11:59 PM.
  • Monthly Reports: Document player progression and submit team reports by the 25th day of each month.
  • HUDL Management: Film, organize, and upload all tournament and practice footage within a strict 48-hour post-event window.
  • Cultural Integrity: Prevent back-channel gossiping and side-talk by routing all operational concerns directly to leadership.

Technical Cultural Requirements (The Key Differentiator). Unlike traditional clubs where culture is just a slogan on a website, active value delivery is a fundamental, measurable technical requirement of this role. You do not simply "live" our values; you must actively run our proprietary developmental systems as a core on-court deliverable.

You Have Radical Ownership:

You are a natural self-starter who takes absolute accountability for your team's administrative deadlines and on-court standards.

You Have the Heart of a Teacher:

You know how to correct an athlete by labeling the behavior, not the soul, treating temporary performance errors with disciplined, professional objectivity instead of sarcasm.

You Want to Be a Dragon Transformation Specialist:

You desire to step onto a defined career path that can elevate you into future director roles by mastering the ultimate balance between fierce drive and genuine kindness.

Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience as a head volleyball coach.
  • Can drive/has a car.
  • PA Act 153 Compliant (If not, willing to obtain this before starting). Clearances.
  • Insurance: Ability to maintain a standard $1,000,000 general liability policy and deliver a Certificate of Insurance (COI) prior to court access OR obtain this through KRVA/AAU Membership.
