Job summary

DNA Vetcare is seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse for Mead Vet Centre to lead our day team and champion high standards of patient care across a varied caseload, including orthopaedics and complex medical cases.

The role offers development opportunities, CPD support, and a chance to progress within a top-tier, award-winning practice in Kent and London areas. Competitive salary up to £43,000 DOE with 4-day weeks and weekend on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered veterinary nurse with extensive clinical experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to lead and manage a day team during shifts.
• Excellent patient care and empathy for animals and owners.

About The Role

Join the team at our award winning Mead Vet Centre. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse who values patient care and progression to join our team. Here at Mead Vet Centre, we have a really exciting and varied caseload where you’ll be fully involved in cases including Orthopaedics, TPLOs, Fracture Repairs, Complex Medical Cases, Laparoscopic Spays, and much, much more, giving you the opportunity to work within your own areas of interest - whether you are an all rounder and enjoy all areas of nursing, or maybe surgery, wards, anaesthesia, or intensive care is your thing, we are happy to foster your interests and help you become the Head RVN you strive to be.

As a Head RVN, you’ll play an integral part of our dedicated day team, providing compassionate care and support to patients in need. We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills and the ability to handle emergency situations with confidence. You must have excellent communication skills and team working abilities and have a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
