Head Spirit Coach – Stevens High School

Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, will work to coordinate the Stevens High School Spirit program.

Develop and establish a high-quality program founded on sound principles, strong team values, and the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship all within a fun learning atmosphere.

Help to communicate all information regarding the Stevens High School Spirit program to the parents and community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Work cooperatively with the athletic director, administration, staff, parents, community and key stakeholders of SHS Spirit.
• Motivate and connect with our student athletes.
• Be an integral member of a program that spans grades 9-12.
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all student/athletes.
• Combine the reinforcement of basic skills with advanced skills needed for a competitive Spirit program.
• Communicate with Athletic Trainer to ensure safety and healthiness of student athletes.

Knowledge Of

• High School Spirit and the complexities of the game/events.
• Current NFHS and NHIAA rules, policies and procedures.

• Commitment to program and helping the growth of student athletes.
• Strong work ethic coupled with great leadership.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to student athletes.

Licenses and Other Requirements

• Red Cross First Aid certificate, including CPR training.

Preferred Experience

• At least three years of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred.
