The Steward School is seeking a Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach to lead and oversee all aspects of the varsity lacrosse program, guiding student-athletes and coordinating with school leadership. Qualifications

  • At least 21 years of age with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience coaching lacrosse at the high school level preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals, strategy, player development, and team management.
  • Ability to motivate and develop student-athletes both on and off the field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required during the season.

  • Assist with program promotion, community engagement, and offseason development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records, team communication, and program organization.
  • Represent the school and athletic program in a professional manner at all times.

The Opportunity:

The Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the varsity boys’ lacrosse program while supporting the mission and values of the school. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sportsmanship, communication, and organizational skills while creating a positive and competitive environment for student-athletes.

Work Environment:
  • Physical demands include:
    • Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
    • Ability to teach the appropriate physical skills and techniques to be used by the students.
    • Ability to visually monitor the students.
