Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking a Varsity level Head Coach to lead and develop a high school program, with a focus on competitive excellence and student growth. You will plan practices, align with the middle school program, manage day-to-day coaching duties, and prepare fields; the coach reports directly to the Athletic Director or building Principal.

This position is determined by the CBA and district guidelines, with compensation and benefits set accordingly.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a program.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of the sport's technical aspects.
• Sponsor must serve as a positive role model for student athletes.

Responsibilities

• Plan practices and coordinate daily coaching activities.
• Align with the middle school program.
• Oversee day-to-day coaching requirements.
• Prepare fields as needed.
• Report to Athletic Director or building Principal as assigned.
